I am honored to still be a part of the Lawrence community!

This past weekend my husband, his family and I were in Lawrence to celebrate Andy's (my brother in law) graduation. I hold a special place for this truly wonderful city and the University of Kansas! It is where I achieved my  art degree, met Maggie, Katie and Julie (three amazing friends), found my "fur babies" (Cooper and Comear), had many struggles, many laughs and met my wonderful husband!  There is so much love, pride and strong sense of community in Lawrence.
One organization that have fell in love with is the Lawrence Humane Society. http://www.lawrencehumane.org/ This year I was approached to make a painting for the Lawrence Humane society's Mutt N' Strut event that was held on May 9th.  The event raised around $25,000.00 this year. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2007/may/15/mutt_n_strut_raises_around_25000/
The Lawrence community truly is so amazing! Although I no longer live in Lawrence, I am so honored to still be a part of this community! Thank you so much for reaching out to me this year!

Pancakes & Booze at Lucid Gallery!

I wasn' t quite sure what to expect from this event, but I am so glad I was a part of it! There was live painting, D.J.'s, $5 pancakes&booze, photographers and all kinds of entertainment at this underground and very urban art show! Take a peek:
